California, like the nation, is wilting from non-support. The wealthy among us have managed to shut off the funds we need to educate our kids. A cabal of Republicans have effectively formed a no-tax pact even though the need for more income to the state is so apparent.
Before the election in 2008 I heard one wise voice suggest that we raise the tax rate on people who earn more than 200,000 a year by two percent. That would take care of our needs.
